CEO of Sinclair Industries, Veronica Sinclair has the power and prestige that suits the elite of District 2. Admired for her confidence, business acumen and sheer resilience against hostile practices, she appears to be the perfect successor of the company.

Despite her successful exterior, Veronica hides a dark secret about the death of her previous husband. A prominent public figure and also the former controlling shareholder of Sinclair Industries. Until now, pressure from her current District 1 husband had swept the disappearance under the carpet. No one, suspects her involvement or even a death, but the guilt eats away at her. She copes by burning the candle at both ends, spending her time between her 98th floor office and the dirty underground scene of District 3.

When a young journalist digs into Sinclair Industries, she becomes even more erratic, anxious and unpredictable. The journalist’s investigation has her confronting the secrets she has buried away. As the investigation deepens, Veronica’s carefully crafted facade crumbles, the cracks become visible, and the fortified cobweb of Sinclair Industries begins to unravel. Her life becomes an unbearable mess of drugs, alcohol abuse and a nocturnal downward spiral that bites away at the fabric of her lifeline.

Veronica has to decide whether to protect the secret which is slowly destroying her sanity, protect the company that keeps equilibrium in the Dome, or reveal the truth and risk absolutely everything. Neither option works without horrible implications, a loss of life, the end for something or the likely end of everything.
